While reading the latest issue of Grazia magazine, I came across an article on vintage fashion (always a favourite topic of mine), featuring a shop I’ve never heard before; ‘My Sugarland’. Always excited about new findings I googled it…and there it was! ‘My Sugarland’!A perfect little paradise…Truly, if somebody asked me to make a picture of my ideal world, that would be it! A place of true vintage style, colours and a beautiful nostalgic feeling. And all these I got from their beautifully and carefully designed website! An updated website with the latest trends, where you can shop not only exquisite vintage pieces (not just for your wardrobe but also for your home), but also pieces by new designers, find about new styles and looks, get informed about happennings, interviews, street fashion, get advice on personal styling and even hire the place for an event!
I can only imagine how it will feel when I will actually get there! Already a MUST visit on my list for my next trip to London!Maybe i should hire the place for a ‘lifetime event’?

This is what Josephine Beckett, a young British fashion designer, wants to know; where her clothes are being worn!
The whereareyounow? brand was launched in TOPSHOP Oxford Circus in 2007 and now has even reached the fashionable city of Tokyo. Josephine Beckett showcased her designs for the first time in the recent London Fashion Week combining (as she always does) the old with the new, achieving great and unusual results!
Committed to uniqueness, Josie makes clothes just for the people who seek individuality –vintage fabrics, hand-picked belts, quirky patterns, bright colours in various forms and styles.
Take a look at her collection and put some of her clothes in your wardrobe. I did!

Zoe Murphy is a British designer who uses mid-20th century furniture to create contemporary, fun and hip designs with a nostalgic touch of the 50’s decade.
I find it really interesting that her name – Zoe- in Greek actually means life! Her idea of creating something new (and oh so beautiful!) from something old, giving life back to something that almost all of us throw away is worth praising as it really promotes and encourages eco-friendly practices . And as today is the day of Earth Hour (March 27th, 8:30 p.m.) I believe that supporting and promoting ideas like Zoe’s is a small but hopefully significant contribution towards an eco-friendly world. And as Zoe’s pieces say ‘re-use’, ‘reflect’ and ‘love what belongs to you’!

I love how a blazer can change any outfit and how it can be teamed with almost anything!
Whether it is a boyfriend blazer or one that clinches in the waist, whether it is long or short, wear it over a dress, a mini skirt, a playsuit or silk shorts, team it with skinny jeans, or leggings and a graphic tee and ‘voila’!!!
Choices are limitless but one thing is for certain; having a blazer (or two or three) in your wardrobe is like having another LBD!
Blazers are wardrobe items that can be worn from autumn to spring and are for sure investment buys!

A woman can never have enough shoes right? But what about purses and bags? Personally i love bags and cannot resist buying one! Especially when they look that cute! Bags are kind of impulse buys for me…Thankfully I do satisfy this need without having to break the bank, spending as little as 6 euro, as in that case!
Talking about purses take a look at these ones from ‘Urban Outfitters’, and if you are into the florals trend there are some just for you!

Tea afternoons don’t sound very cool; at least not as cool as they used to sound some time ago…But who wouldn’t want to have friends over for some tea when they have these cups, plates, and cake stands? These are all drawn-on ceramics, created by Esther Coombs and were not only well received by trade and press but have also received the East London Design show prize.

A nicely prepared tea afternoon is not complete without tea towels! And nothing could match Easther Comb’s sets better than these tea towels by lovelylovely.co.uk!

On a recent visit to London I was lucky to visit the East London Design Show. ‘An annual event organized to bring together independent product, interior and jewellery designers.’ I was really excited about it and was delighted when I got there as it was totally worth it. With a very small entrance fee (£4) I entered a world of imagination, true talent, hard workers and people who love what they are doing! I am sure that it takes a lot of effort, time and money for this to be organized and promoted so visit http://www.eastlondondesignshow.co.uk to register for newsletters, see the list of exhibitors and images or even apply for exhibiting. I am sure that you will want to go East too! After all, the ‘Guardian’ wrote that it is the place where you can get tomorrow’s products today!

This is what this blog entry is, actually!
Like the first model that walks on the catwalk of a fashion show and conveys the feel and character of the show.
Loving all things beautiful…in terms of art, fashion, design and all combined together.
In fact, I consider fashion (and moreover styling) a form of art, a way of personal expression. I believe that dressing up you self or your home doesn’t necessarily and exclusively have to do with what’s in or out, hot or not. For me it all has to do with individuality and personal style. What makes you feel good and what suits you and your personality. What is actually YOU! Simply think Kate or Carrie (Moss and Bradshaw for those who didn’t get it at once )!
